The Words and Worlds of Dean Westen

I'm Dean Westen, author and founder of Westen Publishing, LLC — a place where stories come to life and storytellers find their voice. I don't believe in confining creativity to a single genre. My work spans pulp westerns, fantasy, horror, and adventure-comedy, with plans to explore science fiction, drama, and even non-fiction. I go where the story takes me.

 

My writing ranges from young adult adventures to gritty, mature themes. What unites them all is heart — character-driven narratives, meaningful twists, and classic tropes reborn with fresh purpose.

Storytelling has always been my way of unwinding and making sense of the world. It's escape, connection, and joy — the same feelings I've chased as a lifelong reader. Now, I share that joy through the stories I write and through the work I do to help others publish theirs. Whether it's editing, coaching, or simply offering encouragement, I believe everyone has a story worth telling.
